im jottin this down with Maceo Parker - Children's World playin in the background, now we 30 EditiOns old i cant help but scatter mind all over the memory lane as far as evo's 1st ever edition (i even still remember the 1st joint i played,,lol)... weve come far and seems like ysterday when it all started i'll say that again! I mus thank all you guys for the love and support you shown us over the years without all of ya the wouldnt be no 30th Edition...nuff said

01 November 2009 marks another first Sunday of the month and we set for another Evo Lokxion Sundaze Edition… the 30th Edition to be exact…. And we continue as always to keep the massive in the hood as one nation on the groove. To headline this edition is Thokoza’s finest duo Lebza and Gaoza together as Deep Level. the duo is formerly of Hidden Force have since made their presence felt with their single K’shubile making waves all around South African Radio Stations… even topping charts, so you can experts a performance not only that will drop your jaw but to sit up and take note… Alongside will be another duo from Tembisa’s Quitude led by the frontman Bakdraft are set to gives us a dosage of that soul Jazzy coupled with Lyricism that sets them apart from their peers… Nuff said!


With the resident duo on the 1’s & 2’s… DJ BlaQt & the Backyard Selekta on together as Evo Lokxion All-Stars to get and keep your groove on! It’s all going at Aldo’s Lounge, Naledi Mall. From 3pm & R20 gets you in… ladies free till 4h30pm plus the free mix tape cd’s are still available for all the early birds…!!!

Hakeem a.k.a Flexx BoOgie, to roll out a preview from his latest offering Pens & Sword , to annotate this emcee would be painting a half picture on this prolific hard working rhyme smith… alongside will be Projektah, jumps on for take two… he gives us a preview of his debut album Collage in Bars released 13th September already the 1st single Zoom In is fast becoming an anthem….

All roads lead to Aldo’s Lounge for another Evo Edition with Impande Core….

We in our 2nd evo lokxion sundaze edition for the year 2009 so far and I’ve not posted much… but I know those on the mailing list are up to date with the 411…

I’m looking forward to Impande Core’s performance it’s been a while since they last performed at Evo, even thou at some point they had made the stage much theirs… if you’ve been there since our early edition you will know what I mean… its home coming for the four piece outfit and yes they back, thanx to your facebook messages, emails and certainly the replies we get when sending sms’s (even though some of you are rude… I must say!).The man from Tembisa, Nyiko aka R-Senic is our surprise package for this one, together with Chissa boy (who’s currently doing well via MTN Xploaded ringtone downloads, so look out for that!)

I’m hoping to see all the regulars for this one. Let me use the time and space to thank Maliq and the entire Ba4za regardless of the situation yet they came out and did their thing… as always dope tunes accompanied by a dope stage presence… you guys killed it.


Since we launched the Evo lokxion we’ve had great response from all corners regards to accessibility and so forth… I know by today the are two new pages uploaded on the site (Downloads & Merchandise) so yeh keep visiting the site and be in line for those download’s and more…

It marks a home coming for Vosloo’s own eclectic outfit Impande Core, they last played at our 1st year birthday edition and they back by popular demand… nuff said. Alongside will be R-Senic, the Tembisa based emcee with mountains of thoughts coupled with a rhyme schemes served in his native language, Tsonga…and has since featured on the award winning Backpackers Vol:3 Mix-tape and Beat Oven’s Vol:4 Mix-Tape… On the 1’s & 2’s - DJ Masta Funk returns with all that dub… DJ BlaQt and The Backyard Selecta as Evo Lokxion All-Stars. Doors Open at 3pm, its ladies free until 4:30pm and R 20 bucks gets you in… It all going down at our new found home Aldo’s Lounge situated at Naledi Mall, Vosloorus. ... Into the new year

My best wishes for the year 2009 to you, its the 10th of Jan. already and the grind is already on... as im jottin this post i'm chilling with Masta Funk(busy with his Yfm radio mix, to be aired 2nite @ 8H30 on YFM 99.2)while im on que to record a mix too... eeesh its back to the hustle as midweek i did shoots with Ozmic & Mizi for their Soweto Tv show. By now the one of the show will have been aired already and you can check out the next show on Wednesday morning between 9-10am (check it out on Dstv aswell)...

Otherwise when i upload the next post i should have the mix im about to record for you guys to download!!!!!
